The Hermitage

Our vision is to provide a place of prayer in a naturally beautiful setting in the hills of Central Maine to house Transfiguration Hermitage, and eventually a retreat center, for those who seek a place of quiet prayer and reflection.

The Hermitage is a God-centered place of peace and solitude, where people of all faiths, can seek the healing presence of the Spirit.

Phase I 2006 Capital Campaign

Construction of Transfiguration Hermitage: Temporary Chapel (future Counseling Room); Gathering/Retreat Room; living quarters for three sisters; Bakery; and Cloister gardens. Estimated cost: $300,000 To be raised: $50,000

Phase II - Future Capital Campaign(s)

Construction of Transfiguration Hermitage: Permanent Chapel; Guest/Retreat House; Additional quarters for sisters.
