In the Gospels, Jesus takes three of his disciples - Peter, James and John - to a mountain to pray. There the disciples see Jesus Transfigured, standing with Moses and Elijah "in glory," his face and clothes a "dazzling white." The Transfiguration is a chance for Christ to walk in his soon-to-be-glorified divinity, perfectly united to God through the power of the Spirit. It will strengthen him for the way of the cross, by which he will be transformed from teacher to savior.
Time spent in the healing presence of God leads to spiritual growth. Testimonials from our visitors attest to the transformational power of solitude, prayer and reflection in a place of prayer and natural beauty.
